Executive Bios

Jodi Turek
President and Co-Founder

As President and co-founder, Jodi Turek is the driving spirit behind womensforum.com. She brings more than 16 years of broadcast, print and new media experience to the company. A former television reporter and news/talk show producer and writer for both local and national markets, her ability to attract like-minded entrepreneurs and successful women who are making a difference forms the backbone of womensforum.com's unique Partner network. Before co-founding womensforum.com in 1996, Ms. Turek was active in other Internet start-ups and held a variety of news producing and reporting positions for The Montel Williams Show, BNN-TV3 (Boston), and a variety of local and national newspapers and magazines. She earned a Master of Science in Science Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. Boston University awarded both degrees.

Mark Kaufman
CEO and Co-Founder

Mark Kaufman, CEO and co-founder, is the principal architect and strategic conscience of womensforum.com's unique business model. He provides the vision and organizational development experience that has womensforum.com positioned to be the premier foundation to launch and grow emerging women's brands online. Mr. Kaufman has more than 15 years of business experience earned at both established corporations and budding start-ups. Before co-founding womensforum.com in 1996, Kaufman held senior positions with range of large corporations including Helene Curtis (now Unilever), WMX Technologies and Premark International as well as executive-level roles in a number of start-up and consulting ventures Mr. Kaufman, who is a CPA, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Illinois State University.

Lloyd J. Goslin
CFO and EVP Corporate Services

Lloyd joined womensforum.com in February as the Director of Strategic Services a role that encompasses the areas of finance, performance measurement, technology, business services and business development. Lloyd brings to womensforum.com 15 years of financial and managerial experience. Most recently, Lloyd was a Vice President for a regional staffing firm that was recently acquired by a national firm to be their platform company for expanding into the Mid-west. He founded and managed the Chicago practice. Prior to that, Lloyd also founded a Detroit practice for an international staffing firm. Both firms specialize in executive search and contract placement in the accounting, finance and information technology sectors. Lloyd started his career with Arthur Andersen, LLP. As an audit and business advisory manager, Lloyd was actively involved in assisting small businesses succeed. This included process re- engineering, strategic planning, market analysis and preparation of financial projections. Lloyd was actively involved in recruiting, training and mentoring the staff. Lloyd graduated with a BA degree in Accounting from Michigan State University.

David Scott Carlick
Partner, VantagePoint Venture Partners

As partner with VantagePoint Venture Partners, David Carlick provides strategic guidance and investment support to the womensforum.com executive team. Carlick is a widely recognized leader in marketing, sales, advertising and the Internet. After founding and growing Carlick Advertising into one of Silicon Valley's largest independent agencies, Mr. Carlick created the DBM Group, a direct marketing unit within the agency. He has been involved in launching many notable high tech products and companies, including the first portable computers at Toshiba, Silicon Graphics' 3D workstations, SuperMac's graphics systems, Cirrus Logic's FeatureChips, and Netscape Communications' web products. After Carlick Advertising and the DBM Group merged with Poppe Tyson, a wholly owned subsidiary of BJK&E (Bozell), Mr. Carlick and the agency became recognized as the leaders in strategic Internet marketing. He was selected by Advertising Age as one of the 20 most influential people in the Internet. Mr. Carlick, an early co-founder of the leading Internet ad network company, DoubleClick, handled the launch of advertising sales for Netscape and Excite, and served as a Board member of International Network Services from conception to acquisition by Lucent.
